Dr. Bupe Mwamba
Lecturer
Zilungile Mkhize-Kwitshana is an Associate Professor in the School of Laboratory Medicine & Medical Sciences, Medical Microbiology’s Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. She holds a PhD in Immunology. She is an NRF-C3 rated medical scientist registered with the Health Profession’s Council of South Africa. Her interest is on the immunology of co-infections with Neglected Tropical Diseases. She has worked in this field for more than twenty years. Based on her research work on the ability of Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) to modify immune responses to other priority diseases such as HIV, TB, HPV and recently SARS-Cov-2, as well as interaction between Immunity, Infection, Nutrition, Microbiome and Cancer, she has published peer-reviewed scientific articles in international journals; two book chapters and presented 28 scientific papers in international conferences. She has supervised and graduated several Masters and Doctoral students. Prof Mkhize-Kwitshana is a recipient of the Fellowship award for the International UK CIU Trust Travelling Fellowship in Immunology, a DVC Research Innovation and Engagements ’s Inaugural Gold award for the most productive researcher; a Silver Award for the highest research grant funding received and an Honorary Fellowship Award for contribution in the field of Medical Microbiology (MUT). Prof Mkhize-Kwitshana ‘s strategic leadership roles include two terms as an SAMRC Board EXCO member, she is a former Board member of Charles James Hospital Board; is a founder member of the National NTD Coordination Committee, and is currently a member of the South African Immunology Society regional representative. She is the Editorial Board member for the International Journal of Maternal and Child Health and Aids (IJMA); also serves as a reviewer for several international scientific journals, such as Lancet Infectious Diseases, also a reviewer for funding agencies such as NRF, the SAMRC and DHET. She is also a former Head of Department of Biomedical Sciences at MUT where she was instrumental in the establishment of the first 4- year Bachelor of Health Sciences degree in 2018, producing the first graduates recently in 2022. She is also a former Deputy Head of Chemical Pathology Department at Edendale Pathology Laboratories.

Miskeen, MBBS, MD, FAIMER, TUFH, is an assistant professor of obstetrics, gynecology, and medical education at the University of Bisha, Saudi Arabia, and the University of Gezira, Sudan. He is a global faculty at the FAIMER Regional Institute (ASU MENA FRI) and TUFH academic Institute.
He is the head department of obstetrics and gynecology and chair of community-based medical education. He has an active member of many national and international health projects. His areas of interest are obstetrics and gynecology, safe motherhood and childhood, student support projects, medical education, evidence-based medicine, public health, and medical education research. He was awarded the FAIMER fellowship (2020-2021) and the TUFH fellowship 2021. He has been involved in reviewing and editing national and international medical journals with remarkable achievements. During the last seven years of his academic experience, he supervised more than 30 students in Ph.D., MSc, and extra-curriculum research and published and presented in national and international conferences.
Dr. Mary Consolata Ishepe Nandili

I am a Public Health Specialist with a Doctorate Degree in Public health; Master of Public Health and Epidemiology degree; Basic Degree in Project Planning and Management; Diploma in Strategic Management and Diploma in Registered Nurse Midwife. Essentially, acquired a wide range of short courses in Leadership and management; International Consultant; Project designer, Planning and Management; Research; Medical emergency and Reproductive health; TB, HIV and AIDS among other short courses. Ascended progressively through the ranks to the top most position in government; as the Director for Nursing and midwifery services; responsible for overseeing Nursing and midwifery profession and the professionals in public, private and mission health facilities. Currently am serving as part-time faculty Lecturer at AHRO International University that is based in Scotland.
I have over 30 years of experience working in the field of Public health, providing overall strategic leadership and governance as well as technical assistance to public, private and mission facilities in various regions; I support in policy formulation and strategies including overseeing implementation of same policies. Wide experience in monitoring and evaluating of projects; determine and support training needs as well as prepare and develop training materials; also ensuring evidence based information is attained through research and surveys to inform policies and guidelines as subject matter for quality practice. Advocating best practices to promote quality health care services through various forums. Chief adviser, furnishing the government on matters related to Nursing and Midwifery Services in the Country; regularly preparing briefs to inform the Cabinet Secretary of Health on current Nursing Midwifery situation in the Country. I appraise the staff and maintain their data base of the country and ensure regulation is adhered to. Experience in developing annual work plan, Ministerial budgets as well as controlling Ministry and donor funding. Participate jointly in planning Ministry activity milestones and indicators in forums. Conversant with designing, planning and coordinating projects and programmes; lead in the preparation of survey tools, supervise research studies, share presentations, prepare and submit final reports to relevant authorities in forums.
Familiar with the operations of UN bodies, line Ministries, non-governmental organizations, community based organizations and other NGOs that address health related matters. Working collaboratively with Global fund, PEPFAR, CDC, WHO among other donor funded projects.
Consulted for AMREF, UNDP, UNICEF, WHO, World Vision Kenya, Family health international, USAID – CDC funded projects among other organizations. Serving as an independent Local and International Consultant in various organizations.
Ziaul Hasan

Ziaul Hasan is a Faculty Member in the Department of Food and Nutrition and Nursing in the Africa Health Research Organization (AHRO) working on teaching undergraduate and diploma students. He is also the Managing Editor of the AHRO Review of Pharmacology.
He obtained the title Bachelor of Science (honors) in the field of Biochemistry at the Department of Biochemistry, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) in Aligarh, Austria in 2012, followed by a in the same discipline in 2014. He completed his Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biosciences at the Department of Biosciences and Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Basic Sciences (CIRBSc), Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, India in 2022.
From 2014 to 2017 was a researcher at the Department of TB and Respiratory Diseases, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College and Interdisciplinary Biotechnology Unit at AMU. There he worked on CO measurement as a biomarker of oxidative stress in COPD and asthmatic patients and the development of databases related to Mycobacterium tuberculosis antigenic peptides prediction and food-borne diseases respectively.
From 2017 to now he is part of the Protein Research Laboratory at CIRBSc, JMI. In his PhD, he worked on interaction studies on fungal enzymes with potential phytotherapeutics through a biophysical and computational approach. He now continues to contribute to the parent project LAMMPS.
He is part of the Novel Global Community Educational Foundation, Australia as an honorary student counsellor. He is also Life Member of Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA) and Natural Product Science Task Force (NPST). He is recently appointed as Ambassador of Youth Combating Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs).
Dr. Pooja Mittal

Dr. Pooja Mittal is currently working as an Associate Professor at School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, RIMT University, Mandi Gobindgarh (Punjab), India. She has 9+ years of experience in teaching and research. Prior to this, she worked at Maharishi Markandeshwar University (Sadopur) Ambala (Haryana) and at Baddi University of Emerging Sciences and Technology, Baddi (Solan). She has guided 05 M. Pharm students and about 10 B.Pharm students. She is currently authoring 3 books, one has to be published by Bentham and another book has to be published by Elsevier. She has published about 40 Research and Review Papers and many book chapters on her part. She has published 31 copyrights and 2 patents had been applied recently. She had attended various national and International conferences in India and abroad. She received the travel grant from DST-SERB in 2016 to attend the International Convention of Controlled Release Society, held at Seattle, USA.
She received her Ph.D degree from Department of Pharmaceutical Engineering and Technology, IIT (BHU) Varanasi in 2018. She also received the Young Scientist Award- WF from SPER in 2017.

Prof Ashok Rattan is a medical microbiologist by profession. He was conferred APJ Abdul Kalam Award for Lifetime Contribution to Medical Sciences in 2018 and Shriniwas Oration in 2021 by Indian Association of Microbiologists for his contribution to laboratory diagnosis of Tuberculosis. He was Advisor in Pathkind Laboratories till Dec 2021. Now he is Chairman medical committee and quality of Redcliffe Laboratories.

Yamini Tripathi

I am Yamini Tripathi, a Microbiologist by education. I have always been fascinated by the diversity and complexity of these microorganisms. My research interests are- Infection Biology, Mycobacterial Research, and Virology. I’m particularly interested in Understanding the molecular mechanism of the pathogenesis of Bacterial/Viral diseases. I am also the Research Scientist and Head of the Department of Medical Research at Spaceonova. I am bringing 5+ years of teaching experience with an emphasis on specialized techniques to widen the intellect of the learner. I want everyone beyond any barriers to feel welcome in my class!
