
Ziaul Hasan is a Faculty Member in the Department of Food and Nutrition and Nursing in the Africa Health Research Organization (AHRO) working on teaching undergraduate and diploma students. He is also the Managing Editor of the AHRO Review of Pharmacology.
He obtained the title Bachelor of Science (honors) in the field of Biochemistry at the Department of Biochemistry, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) in Aligarh, Austria in 2012, followed by a in the same discipline in 2014. He completed his Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biosciences at the Department of Biosciences and Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Basic Sciences (CIRBSc), Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, India in 2022.
From 2014 to 2017 was a researcher at the Department of TB and Respiratory Diseases, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College and Interdisciplinary Biotechnology Unit at AMU. There he worked on CO measurement as a biomarker of oxidative stress in COPD and asthmatic patients and the development of databases related to Mycobacterium tuberculosis antigenic peptides prediction and food-borne diseases respectively.
From 2017 to now he is part of the Protein Research Laboratory at CIRBSc, JMI. In his PhD, he worked on interaction studies on fungal enzymes with potential phytotherapeutics through a biophysical and computational approach. He now continues to contribute to the parent project LAMMPS. He is part of the Novel Global Community Educational Foundation, Australia as an honorary student counsellor. He is also Life Member of Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA) and Natural Product Science Task Force (NPST). He is recently appointed as Ambassador of Youth Combating Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs).
