AHRO opens five representative offices in West Africa

The AHRO Network kickstarted its research activities across West Africa with the opening of five offices in Nigeria, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, and Mali. The offices would be under the Joint Research office based in AHRO Center for Academic Research and would be involved in basic, preclinical, and clinical studies. Professor Umar Ibrahim is heading the West Africa research hub which is based at the University of Jigawa-Dutse. In his remarks, Prof Umar expressed his delight for being appointed as the Coordinator of the West Africa AHRO Research hub saying “ This is a perfect platform for us to advance global health and play a significant role towards impacting health across the globe”. In his comment, the Director-General Prof Yaro reiterated the organization’s commitment to research saying “As we initiate this program, we are hoping to be actively involved in research which is based on integrity and innovations. We would also be working with partners across the world. COVID showed us that we must network for proper management of diseases. That is exactly what the AHRO research hub stands for”.
