AHRO Clinical Research Program Officially Launched

The much-awaited AHRO Clinical Research Program (ACRP) has officially commenced, with planned activities set to roll out across several countries in West Africa and the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region. This marks a critical milestone in AHRO’s mission to advance health research and improve healthcare delivery across the continent.

In a statement released by the Office of the Director-General, it was highlighted that the ACRP will spearhead multiple clinical studies targeting some of the most pressing health challenges faced by African nations. These studies will play a pivotal role in enhancing both preventive and curative healthcare services, ultimately benefiting communities locally and globally.

To achieve its ambitious goals, the ACRP will collaborate closely with leading clinical research institutes, pharmaceutical companies, and medical device manufacturers. These partnerships aim to facilitate cutting-edge research and innovation, advancing human and animal health under AHRO’s integrated One Health agenda. By aligning its efforts with this holistic framework, the ACRP is poised to address interconnected health challenges that span across people, animals, and the environment.

Through this initiative, AHRO reaffirms its commitment to strengthening health systems, promoting cross-sectoral collaboration, and contributing to global health resilience.
