£25 Million Multi Clinical Trials Centers established by AHRO Network

The AHRO Center for Academic Research is leading multiple sites as part of £25 million AHRO Clinical Trial Facility. The centres would be situated in the following countries during the phase of the project: Ghana (Accra, Kumasi and Salga) and Nigeria (Jigawa, Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, and Abuja). Negotiations are ongoing to establish centers in Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger.  The Director-General and Chief Scientific Officer of the organization Prof Abubakar Yaro will be leading the programme and would be assisted by Co-Principal Investigators to be situated in all the countries.  “These multi-sites would give us a better understanding of how genetic also plays a role in both treatments and pathogenesis processes of most diseases”. Prof Yaro added. Meanwhile Prof Yaro has called for international pharmaceutical companies and other research institutes to join the AHRO dream saying “We are open to mutual beneficial partnership”.
